Training Rides:
Weekend Rides:
All year Saturday morning starting from St Anne's Church
Keighley at around 09:30hrs there is a ride to Airton cafe
going via Skipton, then Grassington road, left at the duck
pond and in to Gargrave along the back roads. Finishing
with a sprint for the Tea cake trophy. The ride starts off
fairly steady but once out of Skipton this ride can become
extremely fast and hard. The reason being the Teacake
Trophy a hotly sort after prize, dedicated to the memory of
Steve Peterson, every Saturday morning from March 1st till
around December the Saturday morning ride ends with a
sprint for the Gargrave sign, points are awarded for the
first 3 riders over the line. A chart is kept in the cafe
of the overall standings and at the end of the year the
winner is awarded a Teacake Trophy. Saturday mornings are
not for the faint hearted and a degree of reasonable
fitness is needed to keep up. Total distance Keighley,
Gargrave, Keighley is around 40 miles.
Sunday mornings are a little more longer and usually a
little steadier, usually the ride is around 60 miles with a
cafe stop some where in the scenic Yorkshire dales. Rides
are usually decided on the morning.
Evening Rides Summer only
Thursday evening at around 18:00hrs we have a team ride
starting at Aire Valley Cycles shop Keighley, This is your
